Refund policy

We have a 7-day return policy for eligible online purchases. This means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return.
Eligible Returns
To be eligible for a return, your item must:

be in the same condition that you received it;

be unworn, unused and unaltered;

have all original tags attached;
-
be returned in its original packaging; and
-
be accompanied by proof of purchase.
To request a return, please contact us at lisa@theweddingboutique.co.za within 7 days of receiving your order.
Please note that returns must be approved before being sent back to us. Items returned without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
Customers are responsible for return courier costs unless the item received is faulty or incorrect.
Damages & Incorrect Orders
Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us as soon as possible if your item is defective, damaged or if you have received the wrong item so that we can assess the issue and make it right.
Where required under applicable South African consumer protection legislation, we will arrange an appropriate repair, replacement or refund.
Bridal Gowns
1. New Bridal Gowns
Many of our bridal gowns are made to order or specially ordered from our designers. These gowns are handcrafted with exceptional care and attention to detail.
Sizing information is provided as a guide only. Slight variations in fabric, lace placement, beading and embellishments are a natural characteristic of handcrafted garments and are not considered defects.
Alterations are almost always required to achieve your desired fit and are not included in the purchase price unless otherwise stated. The Wedding Boutique offers an in-house alterations service at an additional cost.
2. Preloved Gowns & Studio Samples
Each preloved gown and studio sample is unique and sold in its existing condition. Any known imperfections or signs of wear will be noted in the product listing where reasonably possible and reflected in the price.
Sizing information is provided as a guide only. Due to previous wear or alterations, measurements may differ slightly from the original designer sizing.
Repairs, alterations, pressing and dry cleaning are not included in the purchase price and remain the responsibility of the purchaser.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are faulty or incorrectly supplied:

Bridal accessories (including jewellery, veils and hair accessories)

Made-to-order bridal gowns

Custom bridal gowns

Personalised or specially commissioned items

Gift cards
If you are unsure whether your purchase is eligible for return, please contact us before placing your order.
Refunds
Once we have received and inspected your returned item, we will notify you whether your refund has been approved.
If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please note that your bank or payment provider may require additional time to process and reflect the refund.
